Bill Mock and the Highway 105 Band is a traditional country dance hall band based out of Plantersville, Texas. They are currently playing private parties, weddings, clubs and festivals. Bill was born and raised in Plantersville where he currently lives and ranches with his brother. He is an active member of the choir at St. Mary’s also located in Plantersville. Highway 105 is the state highway running through Plantersville and is the backbone that ties together the rich heritage from Navasota to Montgomery. While they play some current hits, the heart of their music is rooted in the rich tradition of the country music that filled dance halls throughout the countryside from the 50’s to 80's.
Bill’s influences are Ray Price, Johnny Bush, Bob Wills, Mel Tillis, Charlie Pride and Farron Young to name a few. He currently enjoys the music of Bobby Flores, Jake Hooker and Justin Trevino and several others who keep this tradition of country music alive. Bill and Highway 105 continue to tweak their performance to deliver a country music experience that leaves you appreciating this style of music and coming back for more.
